So close, yet so far away...

It seems that I am getting closer and closer to getting a job it just cannot get here soon enough. I had 2 interviews last week and 2 this week. I am chomping at the bit to find out for sure because school starts in 3 1/2 weeks. I am trying to stay focused and continue to research while I am waiting. It's super hard! I had a blast at my Whole Brain Teaching Conference and can't wait to start using it. Right now I am reading the Daily 5 and it is also amazing. I sure do hope that my dream comes true this week and I get to start implementing these great ideas soon. Lots of prayers are needed!! Keeping my chin up and my head held high!

Lots of love to you all!

Well, I got a phone call today...I didn't get the job, BUT...I have been asked back for a second interview for more positions and was told that I impressed the principal with my interview!! Now, I just have to nail the next one. They are interested in me and I am interested in them! :) I need LOTS and TONS of prayers next week!!

Hugs to you all!!

Motivated

Tomorrow I leave for an exciting trip and conference on Whole Brain Teaching. I am super excited and motivated to learn more about this amazing strategy. I can't wait to implement it in my own classroom.

I am also super motivated to get started this school year with my own classroom. I have had a few interviews and hope that I came across excited and ready to jump right in. I love the new Leader in Me initiative. How awesome is it that Warren County has adopted this program. The students of today are our future. They need to be taught how to communicate, lead and be responsible students and adults. I can't believe that I can be a part of something so awesome. So principals out there...sign me up! I'm ready to change the future!

I will post again after my conference...until then...

Excited!!

I had a great interview yesterday and hopefully I will hear soon from them. I am so ready to jump in and get started. I feel like i've paid my dues and it's my turn to prove to the world that I am a GREAT teacher!

What I am also super excited about is going to happen this week. I am going to a Whole Brain Teaching conference with one of my best teaching buddies in the world. I am looking forward to the bonding time and all of the nerdy teacher stuff that they will teach us over the next two days. I will post more about the trip after I get back. I can't wait to share all of the cool new stuff with you guys!!

Oh, and thanks to a long lost friend from high school that found my blog and sent me such a sweet message on facebook!! It was exactly what I needed! I am holding my head high and that job will be coming very soon, I can feel it! :)

Love you all!

Another interview...

Hey, I have another interview today! Yesterday's interview went really well, but I guess we will see. Sometimes my version and their version are different. :) I'm holding my head high and knowing that I gave it my all!

I got a super deal today! I bought tons of teacher stuff from a teacher for $15 today. In the bag was 35 misc pieces to use on bulletin boards, 6 caddies with cups and 2 blue pocket charts. I got a super deal and kuddos to the teacher who sold them to me for so cheap. We poor teachers have to stick together.

My interview is at 2:00, so i'll post again soon. Wish me luck!

Keeping it positive...

Even though I have not landed a job yet I am still staying positive by gathering ideas and materials for my classroom. I keep telling myself that I am a teacher and I will be working some where this fall. The job market is crazy this year. Principals are telling me that they are getting 200 plus applicants for teaching positions. In my book, just landing an interview is HUGE. Of course, I want more than huge, I want the excitement that goes along with the words...we would like to offer you the teaching position at xxxxx school. Teaching is my life long dream and I cannot wait to get started. It cannot get here soon enough. I know that I am a great teacher and I am ready to prove that. I am ready to make a difference and help shape the future generation. It is their world after all. :) Fingers and Toes crossed that those long anticipated words come sooner rather than later.

Sigh...

Well fudge, the job didn't work out this time, but i'm going to keep my chin up and keep plugging along until the "one" comes along that I am supposed to have. I did apply for several more jobs today and hopefully I will land interviews to some of those soon. Fingers crossed.

The journey continues...

Well, my journey is still going. Today I had my first full time teaching job interview. It went very well, but I have to wait for 2 weeks before I will hear anything. I have high hopes that I will be on to the next leg of my journey before to long, a full time teacher!! During my time I will continue to pursue my dream and still gather ideas and materials for my classroom. :)
